"Let's Go Space Cadets" is a book about exploring the space, a group of adventurous aliens travel the stars.

Borinflob is the professor who watches over the young cadets.

They get fancy new space suits for their space adventures.

4 main characters, left to right- Bumbles (the space dog), Rololo (mechanic), Zaph (the scientist) & Kelei (the explorer) When I was coming up with what would eventually become the Space Cadets, I was going to have an all male cast, (top left) but I decided that it needed to have at least 1 female, that's when I designed Kelei (bottom right), she's a very enthusiastic explorer who generally keeps the team motivated. 

Bumbles the space dog is a valuable team member of the Space Cadets, though he does tend to eat anything...
